Thank you to our families, friends and sponsors for supporting the ALS Cycle of Hope 2013 team at our Media Launch.

Today our team is wearing the ALS Cycle of Hope cycling kits for the first time– we are now officially branded with the ALS Cycle of Hope colours and we are excited to pursue our goals of inspiring hope for families living with ALS. Our training is becoming more challenging and we are feeling strong!

I am so proud of our riders–Please do visit our team’s bio page to learn more about these amazing people– each one is committed and dedicated to help raise ALS awareness and funds for research.

A special thank you to our guest speakers Mayor Dean Fortin, Jack Knox (Times Colonist), Wendy Toyer (Director at ALS BC&Yukon), and Jennifer Pendray (special friend & team mate). As well, two of our great sponsors came out to our event, thanks to John Espley from Accent Inns for joining us and Bill Fry from Trek for hosting.

I would like to also mention a heartfelt thanks to: Brenda Houston for helping us set-up, Deb Robinson and her crew for the delicious food, Trish Fougner for co-ordinating the media launch through Foggygirl Consulting, Heather MacFayden for getting our website ready to go with all the riders’ biographies, and for Robin’s ongoing passion and energy for the project.

Today, we are also grateful towards all the media who came and spent time to interview our team members– your meaningful questions will help the ALS Cycle of Hope raise greater awareness for this disease– so, thank you!

A few memories of today….
